EU DigiTOUR was presented at “Towards a full green and digital transformation: the role of EU SMEs and startups in the travel and tourism industry”, a satellite event of the EU Industry Week hosted by X23 on the 21st of February 2022. The event was celebrated with great speakers and insightful speeches, and we are happy to share some highlights of the event!
The event showcased the key elements to the new era of the tourism sector- sustainability and digitalisation. After the first section that focused on sustainable tourism, digital/tech experts delivered keynote speeches sharing creative ideas and the latest market insights, providing resources of financial support and transnational cooperation for people who are passionate about digitalisation or tourism SMEs who are eager to transition their business into a more innovative and digitalised service!
Firstly we have our speaker Urksa Jez from Transformation Lighthouse sharing with the participants how to hack innovation for the tourism sector, more specifically - what does being innovative consist of? Then, Maja Pokric, from AR/VR Tech and Maja Brkljacic from Algebra Lab introduced the latest technologies - what is augmented reality and virtual reality, and how can they be used in the tourism sector.
The event gathered almost 100 participants! Thank you all for participating in the event and congratulations to all the speakers. without you, the event would not have been such a big success!
